About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join our team at Assystem, a leading international company accelerating the energy transition. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting operations and future programs at our client sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Author and manage design substantiation documents to ensure compliance with current best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee design changes and concessions, ensuring that all modifications meet safety and operational requirements.
  • Present safety cases to committees, providing technical expertise and justifying civil/structural design modifications.
  • Develop Engineering Inspection and Maintenance (EIMT) schedules and safety reviews to ensure the integrity of our facilities.
  • Provide technical advice and conduct independent reviews to ensure that our engineering processes meet the highest standards.
  • Apply engineering knowledge in high-risk environments, utilizing theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, and manage engineering processes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in design assessment for reinforced concrete and steelwork structures, including dynamic loads (earthquakes, blasts, wind, rain, snow).
  • Experience with reinforced concrete and steelwork marine structures and jetties.
  • Proven ability to produce technical justifications for civil/structural design modifications in high-hazard industries.
  • Strong foundation in general and specialist engineering knowledge, utilizing both existing and emerging technologies.
