Payroll Assistant, Maidstone

Salary - £30,000

Execute a full range of payroll responsibilities, handling annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly payrolls.
Prepare and draft essential payroll documents, such as pay slips, P45s, and P60s.
Process Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required, including end-of-year RTI submissions.
Manage end-of-year processing and reconciliation tasks.
Apply tax code changes accurately.
Process payroll for new starters, leavers, absences, statutory leave, and pay.
Generate and distribute payroll reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with tax, National Insurance (NI), and pension contributions.
Follow and contribute to refining payroll delivery processes.
Serve as the first line of support for payroll-related queries.
Support the finance team with general tasks, including reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end processes.
Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships.Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C or above, with a solid grasp of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
Strong initiative and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to convey information effectively across the organisation.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
