HNC in a relevant discipline (Business Admin/Secretarial Studies/Public Administration) or equivalent previous experience in a secretarial role (ie at least 5 years experience as a department/personal secretary)Well-developed interpersonal skills in customer care.Excellent communication skills.Good organisational and planning skills.Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.Proficient I.T.
skills, which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times.It would be great if you also haveSVQ/RSA3/HNC in Secretarial Studies or equivalentExtensive previous experience in a secretarial role Working knowledge of SSTS/Staff bank systemWorking knowledge of collecting/collating and processing statistics to deadlineSelf-motivated personPossess excellent I.T.
skills (to include database) and time management skillsExcellent Interpersonal skillsGood presentation skillsAbility to work under pressurePositive approach to change/flexibilityGood team playerSupervisory ExperienceContract typeFixed Term or Secondment For 6 MonthsPart Time18.60 hoursPlease note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.Please note this is a fixed term post for 6 months.
Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment.
The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
