Job summary The Specialist Nursing Team at Chailey Clinical Services (CCS) provide care and support for children and young people with complex Neurodisability and their families across the school and residences in the adjoining Chailey Heritage Foundation and at the Bluebells Short Breaks service.
We are looking for an efficient, proactive administrator with excellent IT, communication and organisational skills to support the Specialist Nursing Team.
A strongcommitment to enhancing the health and wellbeing of the children and young people in our care and a calm, compassionate approach as well as the ability to prioritise tasks to manage a busy workload are essential in this unique, fulfilling role.

Main duties of the job The post holder will support the Specialist Nurses and Health Care Support Workers, running an efficient and responsive administrative support.
They will be expected to organise their daily workload to ensure tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed within agreed timescales.
The post holder will respond to queries from external parties, patients and relatives or other departments, escalating more complex queries to the relevant member of the team.
General administration duties such as data entry, preparation of Minutes and Agendas, photocopying, scanning and filing.

Key point of contact for the Residential School Nursing Team, managing requests for information over the phone, by email and MS Teams and escalating, as appropriate.
Maintain the privacy and dignity of service users, developing understandings of the issues that affect their daily lives and ensuring their confidentiality is maintained at all times.
F For further details, please see the attached job description Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE level or equivalent Qualification in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) Desirable Knowledge of basic medical terminology Other requirements Essential Willingness to be adaptable, willing and flexible with working hours should delivery of service require this on occasions Access to a vehicle or public transport link as the service is in a rural area.
Experience Essential At least 2 years administrative experience Ability to prioritise workload and experience of working to deadlines Experience of working in people-facing environment Experience with inputting data and maintaining records.
Desirable NHS, charity sector or social care experience Skills and knowledge Essential Good working knowledge of the application of Microsoft Office/365 packages and databases Ability to work effectively in a team and own initiative Good communication and interpersonal skills- able to work with the public, partners and colleagues in a friendly, empathetic manner Good time management skills-able to coordinate tasks, assess for priority and meet deadlines Able to keep accurate written and electronic records and follow tasks through to completion Commitment to improving the lives of children and young people with complex disabilities and their families Able to treat all service users respectfully and respond to their individual preferences accordingly Ability to adapt to changing service needs and to take on new tasks.
