Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will work with young people with challenging behavior, providing a high standard of childcare and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with young people with challenging behavior in a residential setting
  • Provide a high standard of childcare and support
  • Be flexible, resilient, and honest, with a commitment to providing excellent care
  • Work on average hours per week, with days on and days off shift pattern and sleep-ins
  • Be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and performance-related bonus scheme

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification, which will be fully funded
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a positive team player
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements
  • Empathetic nature and good oral and written communication skills
  • Full manual driving license essential
