Polaris Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our residential homes, you will work with young people with challenging behavior, providing a high standard of care and support to help them achieve their full potential.

This is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program. You will work on average 38 hours per week, with a 2 days on and 4 days off shift pattern, including 2 sleep-ins. You will also be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to young people with challenging behavior
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of each young person
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities and progress
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Full manual driving license
  • Ability to work on own initiative and maintain accurate records
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Empathetic nature and ability to engage with young people
  • Good oral and written communication skills
