Job Description:
Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is seeking an experienced Home Bursar to join their senior management team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing operational functions, staff, and resources, as well as generating new business leads and cultivating client relationships.

About the Role:
The Home Bursar will be responsible for overseeing all operational functions of the centre, including Estates, Catering, Conferencing, Accommodation, Human Resources, Gardens, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Health and Safety, and Security. You will work closely with Fellows and the Bursary team to develop commercial conferences and events, and ensure that necessary processes and structures are in place to support growth. Additionally, you will develop and agree future strategy and budgets for the centre's domestic provision, in consultation with the Bursarial Committee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and increase revenue streams.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including Fellows, students, and external partners.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience of managing operational functions, staff, and resources.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to generate new business leads and cultivate client relationships.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
