Role Overview

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £16,562.39 per annum, including a homeworking allowance of £450 per annum. In addition, we offer 31 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, flexible working arrangements, family-friendly policies, and a range of other benefits to support your overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and events for children and young people in care, ensuring their participation and inclusion.
  • Work closely with carers, social workers, and other professionals to ensure stable placement arrangements and provide support where needed.
  • Transport children and young people to events, appointments, and meetings, reimbursing mileage expenses.
  • Organize and participate in virtual and face-to-face events, occasional residential meet-ups, and manage associated paperwork.
Requirements
  • A formal qualification in working with children and young people.
  • Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity of participation, advocacy, or direct work with young people.
  • A good understanding of child development, relevant legislation, regulation, and statutory guidance.
About the Role

This is a permanent role requiring the successful candidate to be available to attend regular face-to-face meetings in the Liverpool area and other locations as necessary. The position involves transporting children and young people to events and meetings within the UK, requiring access to a personal vehicle. Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, are essential for this role.
