Foster Care Engagement Specialist

At TACT, we are committed to providing exceptional support to our foster carers and the children in their care. We are currently seeking an experienced Foster Care Engagement Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating engagement activities with our foster carers and the children they care for. This includes planning and delivering events, trips, and other activities that promote socialisation, fun, and personal growth. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by foster carers and vulnerable young people.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating and leading engagement activities with foster carers and children
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve socialisation and personal growth among fostered children
- Building relationships with local community groups and organisations to access resources and opportunities
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on engagement activities and outcomes
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A formal qualification in working with children and young people
- Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity of participation, advocacy, or direct work with young people
- A good working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, and statutory guidance
- Good understanding of child development and the care experience
We offer a competitive salary of £16,562.39 per annum, plus £450 per annum Homeworking Allowance, and a range of benefits including 31 days paid holiday, flexible working arrangements, and a stakeholder pension scheme.
