About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Benefits Specialist to join our Global Benefits team at National Grid. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing strategic support to our Benefits Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the annual flexible benefits enrolment for approximately 9,000 employees, including developing communication and engagement plans, managing contractual relationships, and updating the flexible benefit platform.
  • Develop and maintain competitive benefits frameworks to ensure relevancy and value-add to the business.
  • Manage delivery channels for benefits frameworks, including working with the Shared Services Centre or contract managing 3rd party providers.
  • Conduct external benchmarking and networking to maximise awareness of market practice in all areas of benefits.
  • Support the Benefits Strategy in interpreting UK legislation and HMRC tax rules regulating benefits.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience of benefits within a large commercial organisation, involving practical and detailed application of existing benefits policies and processes.
  • Knowledge of the benefits marketplace in the UK, including the latest developments in flexible benefits design and application.
  • Experience managing flexible benefits systems/platforms with a large choice of benefit selections.
  • Project management/implementation experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
What We Offer
  • Up to £66,000 dependent on experience.
  • Discretionary Annual Bonus (based on personal and company performance).
  • 28 days annual leave, plus eight statutory days in addition.
