Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Retirement Benefits Strategic Advisor to join our team at Barclays. As a key member of our pensions governance department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing retirement plans and benefits programmes that align with our organisation's strategy.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and delivery of retirement plans and benefits programmes are compliant with all applicable internal governance requirements and external regulation.
- Your expertise will be instrumental in staying up-to-date with applicable legislative and regulatory changes.
- You will communicate effectively with employees and managers to educate them on available retirement and benefit options.
- You will conduct market research and develop an appropriate retirement and benefits strategy, administration, and compliance.
- You will engage with external vendors/stakeholders to manage the administration and delivery of retirement and benefits services.
- You will oversee and govern all cost elements relevant to the provision of retirement and benefits plans.
- If managing a team, you will define jobs and responsibilities, plan for future needs and operations, and contribute to employee pay decisions/changes.
- You will advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
Responsibilities

You will work closely with our professional in-house pensions team and their advisers to shape how we evolve our approach to addressing member complaints and better manage member expectations.
