The primary goal of SM&CR is to promote individual responsibility within the Financial Services Sector. As such, we must guarantee those in senior roles are fit and proper at all times and adhere to Conduct Rules. The role of Global Retirement and Benefits Director will be key in achieving this objective.

The successful candidate will have core focus areas that include statutory and voluntary global DC and DB retirement and benefit plan design, pension accounting, financing, investment, strategy, and ongoing governance. They will leverage their skills to assist multinational organizations manage their retirement plans globally.

Key responsibilities include leading the global retirement & benefit client relationship on multiple large annuity or targeted clients, managing client relationships, teams, and assignments in an oversight/review/quality assurance capacity, and communicating effectively in most client situations.

The ideal candidate will possess 20+ years of related work experience, 15+ years post-exams, and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or Diploma in International Employee Benefits qualification. A Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other related degree is also required.

The selected individual will have previous experience working in an international retirement/benefits team for another global consulting organization at a senior level or in-house for a multinational corporation responsible for regional or global retirement and benefit plans.

This role offers a competitive salary between £80,000-£120,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with additional benefits including two 'Global Wellbeing Days' each year. We encourage a diverse workforce and offer flexible working solutions.
