**Job Title:** Youth Development Specialist
**About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and passionate Youth Development Specialist to join our team at Austin Fraser. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Establish trusting relationships with young people through engagement and build strong rapport.
- Encourage positive behaviour, personal growth, and self-esteem among young people.
- Mentor young people, offering guidance and support to help them make informed decisions and set goals.
- Work in partnership with parents, schools, and community organizations to provide holistic support.
- E nsure the safety and well-being of young people during all activities.
- A Bachelor's degree in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working with young people in a youth work, community development, or similar capacity.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by young people and the ability to offer effective support.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for youth work.
- Knowledge of relevant youth support services and resources.
