About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice & Prescriptions Administrator to join our team at Sandgate Road Surgery. As a key member of our prescribing team, you will be responsible for processing prescription requests, managing patient medication, and providing administrative support to our pharmacists and GPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process prescription requests from registered patients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with patients, pharmacies, and care homes to resolve queries and requests.
  • Assist with blood monitoring and audits processes.
  • Manage incoming reports and ensure they are allocated and dealt with in line with practice protocols.
  • Provide administrative support to the prescribing team, including data entry and report generation.
  • Ensure patient records are up-to-date and accurate.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in general practice or pharmacy is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Highly developed time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • IT literacy, with experience using clinical systems and software.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
