Job responsibilities To process repeat prescriptions within a timely scale to the highest standard To manage the prescribing process including all requests, monitoring usage and informing GPs of any compliance issues or queries, with support of the Pharmacy Technician. To communicate effectively with patients ensuring they understand why tests have been requested To clearly communicate with clinicians To liaise with community pharmacies and care homes if any issues arise Responsibility for administration To provide regular support to leads and other departments To keep patient records clear and up to date Communication The post-holder should recognize the importance of effective communication within the team and will strive to: Communicate effectively with other team members Communicate effectively with patients and carers Recognize peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly.
