Job Summary:
To provide a comprehensive and efficient process for managing patient prescriptions in a general practice setting.
This role involves working closely with the prescribing team to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescription requests, maintaining accurate patient records, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process prescription requests from registered patients in line with practice protocols.
- Collaborate with the prescribing team to ensure accurate and timely processing of prescriptions.
- Liaise with patients and pharmacies regarding queries and requests.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Assist with blood monitoring and audits processes.
- Support the pharmacy team in achieving practice targets in regard to prescribing.

Requirements:
- Experience working in general practice or pharmacy is essential.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
- IT literacy and proficiency in using clinical systems.
Person Specification:
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths is essential. Prescribing or pharmacy technician qualification is desirable.
