Job Title: SEN Educator

We are seeking an experienced SEN educator to join our team at a SEN school in North Birmingham. This role involves working with KS3 aged children who have complex special needs, providing support and guidance to ensure their academic and personal development.

About the Role:
  • Support a small group of KS3 pupils with complex special needs
  • Lead lesson planning and preparation based on individual learner requirements
  • Work alongside teaching assistants to support small groups of learners
  • Provide personal care if required
  • Conduct regular learner assessments and progress reports
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  1. QTS status
  2. Previous SEN experience within primary or secondary school environment
  3. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  4. Experience of complex needs, including PDA and Autism
  5. Able to form excellent relationships with the school team and pupil parents
  6. Ability to work closely with the SENCO
  7. High levels of resilience and patience
