Job Title: Supporting SEN Pupils in Primary Education

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant is to provide dedicated support to Key Stage 2 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school environment.

This involves developing tailored strategies to meet individual needs, facilitating small group sessions, and delivering targeted interventions to promote personal development, wellbeing, and confidence.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to identify the needs of pupils and develop effective plans to address these needs.

You will also be responsible for providing 1:1 support to pupils, fostering social interaction and collaborative learning among pupils with SEN, and designing and delivering targeted interventions that enhance pupils' personal growth, emotional stability, and self-assurance within the school setting.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will have a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent degree, previous experience working in a primary school setting, preferably with Key Stage 2 pupils, and additional training such as TeamTeach or Positive Behaviour Management. You will also have proven ability to manage challenging behaviors, supported by effective behavior management techniques and knowledge, and demonstrated expertise in supporting pupils with SEN, accompanied by an Enhanced DBS and two professional references.

This long-term position offers the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, commencing in January. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, term-time only, with a competitive day rate of £90 - £105. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive working environment that allows our staff to thrive and grow.
