Supporting SEN Students in Education

Estimated Salary: £38,550 - £43,705 per annum (based on 95-105 per day rate)

About the Job

We are seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality support to SEN students in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education, committed to making a difference, and eager to develop their career.

Key Aspects of the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports the unique needs of each SEN student. They will also develop and implement individualized education plans, collaborate with parents and carers, and contribute to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Provide tailored support to SEN students, including small group and one-to-one instruction.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective IEPs.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 TA qualification and relevant experience working with SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
