Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to provide support, guidance, and mentorship to young individuals. This role involves working closely with young people to develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with young people to build trusting relationships and establish rapport.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate recreational, educational, and social activities.
  • Provide individual and group support to address the unique needs and challenges of young individuals.
  • Encourage positive behavior, personal growth, and self-esteem among young people.
  • Mentor young people, offering advice and guidance to support informed decision-making and goal setting.
  • Work in partnership with parents, schools, and community organizations to offer holistic support.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of young people during all activities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with young people in a youth work, community development, or similar capacity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by young people and the ability to offer effective support.
  • The ability to connect with young individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for youth work.
  • Knowledge of relevant youth support services and resources.
