Job Summary

The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Voluntary Services Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain volunteers, ensuring a diverse and skilled workforce that supports our strategic objectives.
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with teams to promote volunteering opportunities and develop plans to fill gaps in our volunteer workforce.
  • Ensure volunteers undergo a thorough recruitment and selection process, including DBS checks and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, providing regular reports and statistics to support monitoring and evaluation.
  • Provide administrative support to the Voluntary Services team, including data entry and word processing.
  • Develop and deliver induction courses and training programs to support volunteers in their roles.
  • Ensure volunteers are aware of relevant policies and procedures, and provide regular communication and updates on Hospice news.

Person Specification
  • Proven experience of working with volunteers or in a volunteer management role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of maintaining databases and producing reports.
  • Ability to work proactively and flexibly, with a cheerful and positive attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
