About the Role

The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Voluntary Services Coordinator. This exciting opportunity will play a vital role in developing, supporting, and growing our volunteer workforce to support our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans to fill gaps in volunteering opportunities in collaboration with managers and external partners.
  • Compile volunteer role descriptions and review them periodically to ensure they remain accurate.
  • Recruit, interview, assess, and place volunteers according to their skills and experience.
  • Ensure volunteers undergo an appropriate recruitment and selection process prior to placement.
  • Maintain the Volunteer database and provide general administrative support to voluntary services.
  • Provide relevant information and statistics necessary for monitoring and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Assess, organise, and/or deliver induction courses to support volunteers.
  • Discuss and explain the Hospice vision, values, procedures, and standards with volunteers.
  • Develop and maintain personal contact with volunteers as necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven administration experience.
  • Experience of working with volunteers or experience of being a volunteer.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential information.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proven experience of maintaining databases and producing reports.
