Do you fancy a change of direction?

Would you like a rewarding career, working to improve the lives of young people?

Join the Break family

As a Break support worker you’ll be working hands-on with the young people living in the children’s home.

We also offer a “golden hello” scheme welcoming you to our services, with £500 paid to you one month after your start date and a second £500 at the six month mark.

**About the role**:
Day to day you may find yourself taking the young people to and from their education provision, helping families to plan trips at home, or learning sign language so that you can help and encourage young people to communicate.

Every milestone in our disability services is celebrated and treasured. We can’t promise every day will be easy, but we can promise the sense of pride you’ll feel for the young people you support and care for.

You’ll need to be an excellent team player who is warm, caring, calm and resilient enough to cope with the complex emotional and behavioural needs of the young people in the service.

**About Break**:
Nobody chooses the family or circumstances they are born into. At Break we firmly believe that with the right care, there is no limit to what can be achieved.

We are a not-for-profit organisation working across East Anglia with children and young people on the edge of care, in care and leaving care. Whether you’re interested in working in our residential homes and short breaks for children with disabilities, our pioneering Staying Close Staying Connected project or vital essentials like our family assessment centre and wraparound care offer, one thing is universal: you’ll be joining a team of passionate and dedicated individuals who want the very best for the young people they care for.
