About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Break Charity, working with young people in our children's home. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, helping them to overcome their past traumas and build a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and care to young people in our children's home, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our therapeutic team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals, maintaining open and effective communication.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of our care services, ensuring we are always striving for excellence.
  • Support young people in developing their life skills, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and nurturing environment, adhering to our organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid manual driving license.
  • Be willing to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare within 24 months of employment.
  • Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and its application in a residential setting.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
