About Ambient Support:
Ambient Support is a well-established charity in the UK, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support services for individuals, including the elderly, those with mental health challenges, and individuals with learning disabilities. We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Support Workers to join our team in Kings Lynn, where you will support a small group of residents with complex learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering emotional and social support to residents in their homes and local communities.
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks, including hygiene and grooming.
- Helping with shopping and financial management.
- Fostering and maintaining relationships with residents' friends and family.
- Performing household duties such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Engaging residents in community activities, including outings and recreational events.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities, including Autism, is preferred but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
- A calm, caring demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Strong empathy and sensitivity to the needs of others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- A valid driver's license is a plus but not required.
