About the Role

Ambient Support is a registered UK charity with over 25 years' experience in providing care and support services for older people, individuals with mental health needs, and people with learning disabilities.

We are seeking a committed and empathetic Care Support Worker to care for 8 residents with complex learning disability needs in our Kings Lynn service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social and emotional support to residents, either at home or in their local community.
  • Support residents with their personal care, including personal hygiene needs if required.
  • Assist with shopping and budgeting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with friends and family of our residents.
  • Perform household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Accompany residents on walks, meals, and other activities they may want to experience.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, including autism (full training will be provided).
  • A calm, caring individual with a positive outlook.
  • Empathy, caring, and sensitivity to the needs of others.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy.
  • A car driver (desirable but not essential).
