Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Children's Practitioner Level 2 to join our team as a Shift Leader at Marshfields, a Short Break Residential Unit in Norfolk. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading the team on shift, contributing to children's care plans, and ensuring the views and wishes of the children are sought and acted upon.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team on shift, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- Contribute to children's care plans, taking into account their individual needs and requirements
- Ensure the views and wishes of the children are sought and acted upon
- Engage in active play, provide creative activities, and undertake manual handling as required
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide a fun, safe, and positive environment for the children
Requirements
- Experience working with children with complex needs, including epilepsy and complex medication regimes
- Knowledge of manual handling and physical intervention techniques
- Ability to work flexibly, including shift work, weekend working, and bank holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
