About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Award-Winning Under 18's Crisis Service. As a key member of our team, you will provide community-based intensive support to children, young people, and their families across Norfolk and Waveney.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish trusting therapeutic relationships with young people and their families to reduce risks and promote positive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective risk assessment and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of our service users.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support and interventions for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of group-based interventions and workshops to promote mental health and well-being.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mental health practice, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children and families. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A nursing degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 12 months post-qualification experience in a mental health setting.
  • Effective risk assessment and risk management skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of email and internet.

This role attracts a recruitment premium of £3,000 (pro-rata for part-time roles). This is a one-off payment made upon appointment and completion of a satisfactory probation period.
