Job Opportunity: Children's Residential Practitioner Level 2

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children's Residential Practitioner Level 2 to join our team at Marshfields, a Short Break Residential Unit in West Lynn. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children with disabilities and/or complex health needs.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to engage in active play, provide creative activities, and undertake manual handling. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team on shift, contributing to children's care plans, and ensuring the views and wishes of the children are sought and acted upon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children with disabilities and/or complex health needs
  • Lead the team on shift and contribute to children's care plans
  • Ensure the views and wishes of the children are sought and acted upon
  • Engage in active play, provide creative activities, and undertake manual handling

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have knowledge of working with children with a diverse range of individual needs, including complex health needs that require re-positioning and physical intervention. They will also have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
