Part-time Horticultural Therapist

Bridewell Gardens is a mental health charity offering a holistic service through gardening in nature. Our team works with individuals making progress in recovery to manage and develop our walled garden and vineyard site.
We are seeking a practitioner to join our team as an Occupational Therapist for Nature-based Recovery. Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting with staff and volunteers to plan the day and prepare the site
- Welcome people onsite, leading or supporting activities for the morning
- Leading groups in horticultural activities, meeting people 121 for assessments or regular reviews
- Joining staff, volunteers and service users for lunch
- Leading groups and wrapping up the day
- Debriefing, writing notes and contacting referrers or agencies as needed
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Professional training and experience in occupational therapy, mental health or social and therapeutic horticulture
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather
- Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by those affected by serious mental health conditions
The salary for this position is approximately £30,000-£35,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
