Healthcare Service Representative

About the PositionThis role involves registering patients in multiple service lines and collecting necessary demographic, financial, and clinical information from the patient or representative.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Verify the ordering clinician credentials for add-on outpatient encounters.
- Work daily reports to ensure all payer-specific billing requirements and authorization requirements are met.
- Obtain and verify necessary demographic and billing information for eSummit.
- Collect amounts owed for medical services including contacting the patient to secure payment.
- Assist with the follow-up on appeals, denials, answer inquiries, and update accounts as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office setting working with insurance authorization, required.
- Knowledge of state Medicaid/Medicare programs, payment assistance/charity programs, payer requirements for authorization and billing, ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding, required.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.38 to $26.65, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes a wide range of programs to support your well-being.
