The Role

We are seeking a skilled Employment Support Worker to join our team at our charity shop in Wallingford. As an Employment Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism in their work placement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To provide direct support to individuals on work placement at our shop, helping them to develop skills, independence, and confidence in the workplace.
  2. To work as part of the shop team to provide excellent customer service and contribute to the smooth running of the business.
  3. To have or develop an understanding of the methods and communication strategies appropriate for individuals with learning disabilities.
  4. To monitor and record development and progress of the individual employee or work placement being supported.
  5. To provide transport and travel training to placements where required, encouraging independent travel whenever possible.
  6. To work in a professional manner in line with the work practices of Style Acre and ensure the appropriate standard of work practice is adopted by the employee or work placement being supported.
