Position Summary

The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for client retention and growth through contract expansion and new product introductions. You'll consult with C-level executives of global enterprises to develop and implement an effective strategy that maximizes Gartner's value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account management for increased customer satisfaction and retention
  • Quota responsibility of $800,000+ in contract value within a major client territory
  • Mastery and execution of Gartner's sales methodology
  • Account planning and territory management
  • Forecast accuracy management
  • Competitive knowledge and focus
  • In-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology
  • Strong intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen
  • Proven experience building client relationships at C-level in large enterprises
  • Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the sales process lifecycle
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (desired)
