Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HR and Payroll Administrator to join our team on a maternity cover basis. As the leading voice of UK manufacturing, we provide expert guidance, training, and support to businesses of all sizes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR and Payroll Administrator to provide essential HR and payroll support across the business. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll, as well as assisting with a variety of HR administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onboarding and Employee Management: Onboard new employees, obtain references, generate job offers, and plan inductions.
  • HR Filing System: Maintain an accurate up-to-date HR filing system and keep employee files up to date.
  • Payroll Support: Support and cover for payroll, including processing starters, leavers, and changes.
  • HR Initiatives: Take a proactive approach to support a wide range of HR initiatives, such as updating pension schemes and driving licence checks.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the communication and implementation of all HR policies and initiatives.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Generate timely reminders to comply with legislation requirements and provide accurate data insights to identify opportunities for improvements to current practice and policy.
Requirements
  • Administrative Experience: Previous experience in a HR role with payroll experience (or similar financial reporting tasks).
  • Technical Skills: Strong MS office skills and experience of using ITrent (desired).
  • Qualifications: Level 3 CIPD (desired) and excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate well with others and prioritise work to meet required deadlines.
