About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Lifelancer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and developing new business opportunities in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries.

About You:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in a life science or business field and 2+ years of commercial/sales experience in the industry.
  • You possess moderate industry knowledge and functional scientific/technical expertise in specific areas of drug development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual lead generation goals as outlined in sales incentive comp plan.
  • Handle inbound client calls, qualify leads, and grow client relationships at the appropriate levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with Business Development Directors in business unit; bring potential opportunities to their attention.
  • Manage annual expense budget and submit expense reports for reimbursement on approval timelines.
  • Expand client requests upselling for business unit when possible.
  • Provide weekly sales activity report to management.
  • Develop client call cycle to achieve objectives and sales plan.
  • Provide general intelligence on key competitors.
  • Sell the business unit's capabilities leveraging differentiation framework.
  • Recognize and communicate sales opportunities for other business units.
  • Establish and manage customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and host client visits if required.
  • Use SFDC to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required for the business unit.
  • Responsible for Opportunity Management and accurate pipeline forecasting.
  • Maintain frequent email and phone contact with clients to grow and expand business relationships.
  • Leverage Marketing, SMEs, and Operations Staff to support client discussions and heighten clients' awareness of BU services.
  • Evaluate quotations and provide input to ensure client and company requirements are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales executives from other business units to bring potential opportunities to their attention.
  • Leverage Social Selling techniques and tools to reach clients through digital channels sharing information including Fortrea services, web conferences, industry meetings, SME news, etc.
  • Create leads from literature and industry events including peer-reviewed journals, poster/symposium presenters, and attendee lists.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
