Job Title: Key Account Manager

We are a dynamic business with a strong focus on growth and development, seeking a skilled Key Account Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities in the market for fixed asset supply of primary aggregates, recycled aggregates, secondary aggregates, and muck away, as well as developing relationships with existing customers to increase volume and supply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular customer site and office visits to build strong relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Prospecting for new opportunities with existing and prospective customers, focusing on fixed assets.
  • Management of internal systems for customer quoting, account management, and query management.
  • Identification and communication of specific opportunities and projects available across the group to Divisional Directors.
  • Development of business and commercial plans with CD for new assets.
  • Collaboration with the fixed asset transport team to ensure full utilization of the company fleet.
  • Setting of business development strategy in conjunction with senior team members.
  • Development and presentation of an understanding of sustainability to recognize value in fixed assets.
  • Key account management, anticipating customer changes, and driving operational and commercial efficiencies.
  • Management of customer feedback and reporting of commercial plans to divisional leaders.
  • Participation in commercial and strategy team meetings, including a pipeline of work and 3-month forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Commercial experience within the Aggregate and Waste market.
  • Self-starter with business development initiatives.
  • Consultative approach, able to identify specific needs and requirements, and driven to deliver a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships at all levels across the business.
  • Accurate data entry and experience with conducting research and data analysis.
