About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team at GRS Group as a Sales Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced business environment with a strong focus on growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the market for fixed asset supply of primary aggregates, recycled aggregates, secondary aggregates, and muck away.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase volume and supply.
  • Work closely with the project manager to support the development of commercial strategies and operational solutions for customers.
  • Manage internal systems for customer quoting, account management, and query management.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities and projects available across the group to the Divisional Directors.
  • Develop business and commercial plans with the CD for new assets.
  • Work closely with the fixed asset transport team to ensure full utilization of the company's fleet.
  • Set business development strategy in conjunction with the senior team, streamlining the customer base and target markets.
  • Develop and present an understanding of sustainability to recognize value in the company's fixed assets.
  • Key account management and customer feedback management.
  • Responsible for delivering against the area budget in line with agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Reporting and presenting commercial plans to the divisional leaders and participating in commercial and strategy team meetings.
Requirements
  • Commercial experience within the Aggregate and Waste market.
  • Self-starter with business development initiatives.
  • Consultative approach with the ability to identify specific needs and requirements and driven to deliver a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and able to build effective relationships at all levels across the business.
  • Strategic thinker who can pre-empt and solve any problems to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Strong negotiator with great problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Experience with conducting research and data analysis.
  • The ability to meet given deadlines.
