We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team at the GRS Group as a Senior Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced business environment with a focus on business growth and development.

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive development of knowledge, relationships, and influence over our selected Major Projects throughout the UK. This is a highly autonomous role with a focus on business development and growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Promote and maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Director/s and other key team members to ensure full commitment to the strategic business development of the Major Projects division.
  • Project Strategy: Work on targeted major projects to create a strategy to maximize our involvement and drive business growth.
  • Relationship Building: Develop relationships with key personnel on proposed projects and help create a GRS Group solution.
  • Business Growth: Understand how we can use all functions within the GRS Group to increase sales and turnover.
  • Partnerships: Partner with internal GRS teams to identify and develop solutions within our business.
  • Initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives with Suppliers, Customers, and Clients to build long-term business relationships that maximize sales revenue and achieve overall business targets.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement a coherent sales and marketing plan to achieve targeted growth in line with the wider business strategy and commercial teams.
  • Lead Generation: Create innovative ways to promote our business to new and existing customer bases.
  • Partnership Development: Ensure that strong partnerships are made/maintained and further developed with key clients/customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in commercial and strategy team meetings.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any other ad hoc tasks as required by the Director/s.

Requirements:

  • Customer Account Management: Experience with managing customer accounts is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the construction/building materials industry is desirable.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving license is essential.
