Job Summary:

This role is responsible for identifying opportunities in the market for fixed asset supply of primary aggregates, recycled aggregates, secondary aggregates, and muck away. You will develop relationships with existing customers to increase volume and continue supply. You will also support the project manager with regular customer site and office visits, prospecting for new opportunities, and managing internal systems for customer quoting, account management, and query management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regular customer site and office visits to build strong relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Prospecting for new opportunities with existing and prospective customers, specifically around fixed assets
  • Management of internal systems for customer quoting, account management, and query management
  • Identification and communication of opportunities and projects available across the group to Divisional Directors
  • Development of business and commercial plans with CD for new assets
  • Collaboration with fixed asset transport team for full utilization of own fleet
  • Setting of business development strategy in conjunction with senior team
  • Development and presentation of an understanding of sustainability to recognize value in fixed assets
  • Key account management and anticipation of customer changes to drive operational and commercial efficiencies
  • Management of customer feedback and reporting and presenting commercial plans to divisional leaders
  • Participation in commercial and strategy team meetings, including a pipeline of work and 3-month forecasts
Requirements:
  • Commercial experience within the Aggregate and Waste market
  • Self-starter with business development initiatives
  • Consultative approach to identify specific needs and requirements and deliver a customer experience that exceeds expectations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships at all levels across the business
  • Accurate data entry and experience with conducting research and data analysis
