Job Title: Head of Legal Practice

Join Equiniti, a leading international provider of shareholder, pension, remediation, and credit technology, as we seek a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our legal practice.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of legal governance, risk management, and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our business operations are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations, and that our clients receive the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective legal governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with our business operations.
  • Provide expert advice on legal matters related to estate administration, probate, and inheritance tax.
  • Oversee the preparation of papers to apply for a grant of probate or letters of administration.
  • Ensure that all case management processes and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies.
Requirements
  • STEP TEP (Trust and Estate practitioner) qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in administering complex and high-value estates.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify root cause(s) and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
