We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal and Casework to join our team at NASUWT. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of our legal strategy to advance the rights of our members
  • Provide expert legal advice and support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff
  • Ensure compliance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act (TULRA) and other relevant legislation
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, employers, and other trade unions
  • Manage and develop our casework management systems to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in employment law and trade union law
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong commitment to the goals of the trade union movement and to advancing equal opportunities and anti-discrimination
