Job Title: Head of Legal and Casework

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Legal and Casework team. As Head of Legal and Casework, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of our legal strategy to advance the rights of our members
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff
  • Ensure compliance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act (TULRA) and other relevant legislation
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, employers, and other trade unions
  • Manage and develop our casework management systems to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in employment law and trade union law
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to the goals of the trade union movement and to advancing equal opportunities and anti-discrimination
