Job Title: Head of Legal and Casework

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Legal and Casework to join our team at hireful. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality legal support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff across the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of employment and trade union law, with the ability to manage a large team and work under pressure. You will be responsible for leading our Legal and Casework Team, providing an excellent legal service that delivers wins for our members and provides good value for money.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Legal and Casework Team to provide high-quality legal support to our members, lay officials, and casework staff
  • Develop and implement effective casework management systems
  • Manage a large team, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act (TULRA) and other relevant legislation
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of our legal service and increase value for our members
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of employment and trade union law
  • Ability to manage a large team and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to the goals of the trade union movement and to advancing equal opportunities and anti-discrimination
