Head of Legal Practice

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Legal Practice to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our estate administration and probate services.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements, including ICAEW licence and best practice standards.
- Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and issues that could threaten delivery.
- Conduct initial reviews and periodic ongoing assessments of all cases to ensure risks are managed and governance is adhered to.
- Oversee the business complaints-handling procedures and sign off correspondence.
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures that meet legal requirements and organisational objectives.
- Manage succession planning and supervise business continuity planning to ensure continuity of service provision.
- Act as a key client contact, providing technical expertise and influencing operational outcomes.
- Participate in financial performance and budget, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimisation.
- Provide supervision of CASS to administer weekly attestation of compliancy.
- Detailed knowledge of inheritance tax rules, accounting, and procedures, as well as Income and Capital Gains Tax compliance in estate administration.
