About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Psychiatry to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to people with learning disabilities in Pembrokeshire.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist community psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disabilities residing in Pembrokeshire. This role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing specialist community psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of mental health pathways and strategies
  • Maintaining accurate records and participating in clinical audits
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practice
  • On specialist register or SpR due to obtain relevant CCT within 6 months of interview
  • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Valid certified advanced life support skills

The estimated salary for this position is £85,000 - £115,000 per annum, depending on experience.
