Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional adult learning disability psychiatrist to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a leading provider of NHS healthcare services in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, and Pembrokeshire, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care to our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant psychiatrist to take on a key role in shaping the future of our mental health services. You will be working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist community psychiatric care to people with intellectual disabilities across Pembrokeshire.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies.
  • To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Health Board's service plans.
  • To contribute to the Consultant on-call rota (1 in 14 rota).
  • To maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty or the Health Board.
  • Core clinical expertise in the field of Intellectual Disability Psychiatry.
