Role Overview

Surgical first assistants in orthopaedics play a crucial role in the theatre environment, collaborating with surgeons to ensure efficient and safe procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support surgeons as a surgical first assistant for hand and feet surgeries, promoting seamless communication among the team.
  2. Collaborate with the surgical team on complex surgeries such as Total Hip Replacement (THR), Total Knee Replacement (TKR), and Total Shoulder Replacement (TSR).
  3. Prioritize patient safety and procedure efficiency, ensuring effective collaboration among the surgical team.
Position Details:
  • Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire.
  • Work Pattern: Flexible shifts available to accommodate various needs.
  • Estimated Salary: £76,800 per annum based on 40 hours of work per week at £38.00 per hour.
  • Pay Type: Options include umbrella or PAYE arrangements.

  • A registered nurse with current NMC registration is essential for this role.
