Job Title: Surgical First Assistant (SFA) Nurse – Orthopaedics


Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for a Surgical First Assistant (SFA) Nurse with expertise in major orthopaedic procedures, including THR, TKR, TSR, and upper/lower limb surgeries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to high-quality patient care in a theatre environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Surgical First Assistant (SFA) support for orthopaedic procedures, including hand and feet surgeries.
  • Assist in major orthopaedic surgeries such as Total Hip Replacement (THR), Total Knee Replacement (TKR), and Total Shoulder Replacement (TSR).
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
  • Adhere to infection control and theatre protocols.


Position Details:

  • Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
  • Work Pattern: Flexible shifts available
  • Rate: £38.00 per hour
  • Pay Type: Umbrella or PAYE available


Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification with significant orthopaedic experience.
  • Expertise in THR, TKR, TSR, and upper/lower limb procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
