**Veterinary Care Assistant Vacancy**
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and versatile Veterinary Care Assistant to join our friendly team. The successful applicant will be an addition to our existing team of highly skilled, passionate nurses, who are supported and led by our Head Nurse, Lead Vet and Practice Manager.

The position can be full or part time - with shifts between 8.45am and 7.15pm - and will include some weekend work.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a Student Veterinary Nurse role in the future.

We see a very varied caseload, including the ‘small furries’ belonging to Pets at Home

Duties will include, but not limited to:

- In-patient care
- Assisting the nurses in setting up for the days surgical procedures
- Helping to hold patients for the vets and nurses
- Cleaning and packaging of surgical kits and other sterile items
- Laboratory work
- Stock management and putting away stock orders
- Equipment care and maintenance
- Maintaining high standards of practice cleanliness
- Laundry and organisation
- Reception and admin duties
