Job Title: Business Development Director II

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director II to join our team at Labcorp. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities for our continued growth within our European territories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve account portfolio financial goals and relationship building objectives
  • Grow market share of existing service lines and optimize new service line launches
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with executive targets and key decision makers in Pharma/Life Sciences accounts
  • Participate in bid defense and/or capabilities meetings, lead client presentations, and sell the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks
  • Collaborate with Scientific Leadership and Marketing to target scientific input that adds value to account strategy and deepens Labcorp's scientific perception within accounts
  • Develop and manage robust and strategic account plans, including actionable account strategies
  • Utilize SFDC to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required
  • Provide comprehensive intelligence on key competitors and participate in proposal scope development as appropriate

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of relevant client-facing experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech sector with direct interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision makers
  • RWD/RWE and outcomes research knowledge and sales experience preferred
  • Comfortable discussing Real-world data, clinical trial, and research concepts with Biopharma customers and physician stakeholders
  • Public health, industry, life sciences background and experience
  • Working knowledge of analytics and modeling
  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify client needs
  • Resourceful networking skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead
  • Executive presence with successful presentation and communication capabilities
  • Ability to travel 50-70%
  • Ability to participate in some overnight travel for client visits, sales events, and trade shows

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in the life sciences is preferred
